Classification according to fiber type
1. Wooden insulating paper: Wood fiber is the main raw material and has good physical strength and mechanical adaptability. It is often used for high-voltage electrical equipment insulation and coil packaging.
2. Cotton fiber insulating paper: Made of cotton as the main raw material, it has good softness and stable electrical properties. It is suitable for motors, electrical insulation, printing and insulating pads, etc.
3. Hemp fiber insulating paper: Using hemp as the main raw material, it has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, good electrical insulation ability, water resistance and good thermal conductivity. It is widely used in dry-type transformers, motors, electrical appliances and other fields.
4. Abaca fiber insulating paper: Processed from abaca fiber, it has the characteristics of good softness and stable electrical performance. It is widely used in the insulation and coil packaging of high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage power equipment.

 

Divided according to thickness
1. Thin insulation paper: The thickness is generally less than 0.05mm, usually used for insulation packaging and coil binding.
2. Medium-thick insulating paper: The thickness is generally between 0.08~0.18mm. It is often used for insulation packaging and partitions of large motors and transformers.
3. Thick insulating paper: The thickness is generally between 0.2~1.0mm, and it is widely used in various fields such as insulation packaging of power equipment and cable shielding.

 

Classification according to surface treatment methods
1. Smooth insulating paper: with smooth surface and good electrical insulation ability, it is often used to manufacture various insulating components.
2. Oil-coated insulating paper: The surface is oiled to improve the oil resistance and mechanical strength of the insulating paper. It is often used in insulating materials such as transformer tanks and power switches.

 

Common types and models of winding insulation paper
1. NH (Nomex Honeycomb) is an insulating paper with a honeycomb structure sandwiched between two layers of Nomex paper. Due to its excellent insulation properties and high temperature resistance, it is widely used in high temperature equipment such as generators and transformers. NH type models include 410, 411, 414, 416, 417, 418, etc., among which 410 is the most commonly used specification.
2. NMN (Nomex Mylar Nomex) is a winding insulation material made of Nomex paper and Mylar film alternately laminated. It has excellent electrical insulation, mechanical strength and heat resistance, and is often used for insulation and isolation of high-temperature motors, transformers, generators and other electrical equipment. NMN type models include 6640, 6650, 6641, etc., among which 6640 is the most commonly used specification.
3. DMD (Double-sided Nomex Polyester Double-sided) is a composite material made of Nomex paper coated between two polyester films. It has good insulation properties, mechanical strength and heat resistance, and is suitable for high temperature winding insulation and isolation of motors, transformers and other power equipment. DMD type models include 6630, 6631, etc., among which 6630 is the most commonly used specification.
4. Class F insulation paper is a winding insulation material made of organic fiber and polyester resin material. It has good electrical insulation properties, mechanical strength and heat resistance, and is suitable for high temperature winding insulation and isolation of electrical equipment. Types of F-grade paper include 6632, 6633, etc., among which 6632 is the most commonly used specification.

 

In short, winding insulation paper is an important part of electrical equipment, and different applications and requirements require the selection of different insulation papers.
