There are many types of enameled winding wires, which can be distinguished according to different dividing factors.
According to insulation material
Generally, there are polyvinyl acetal enameled winding wire, polyester enameled wire, polyurethane enameled wire, modified polyester enameled wire, polyester imide enameled wire, polyester imide/polyamideimide enameled wire, and polyimide enameled wire.
1. Polyvinyl acetal enameled wire has two thermal class(℃): 105 and 120. It has good mechanical strength, adhesion, transformer oil resistance and refrigerant resistance. However, this product has shortcomings such as poor moisture resistance, low thermal softening breakdown temperature, and weak performance of durable benzene-alcohol mixed solvents. It is only used in small quantities in oil-immersed transformers and windings of oil-filled motors.
2. For polyester and modified polyester enameled wire, the thermal class of ordinary polyester enameled wire is 130, and the thermal class of modified enameled wire is 155. The product has high mechanical strength, good elasticity, adhesion, electrical properties and solvent resistance. Weaknesses are poor thermal shock resistance and low moisture resistance. Widely used in various motors, electrical appliances, instruments, telecommunications equipment and home appliances.
3. The thermal class of polyurethane enameled wire are 130, 155, 180 and 200. Its biggest features are direct weldability, good high-frequency resistance, easy coloring, and good moisture resistance. The weaknesses of this product are slightly poor mechanical strength, low heat resistance, and poor flexibility and adhesion for producing large-size wires. Therefore, the specifications of this product are mostly small, medium and fine wires.
4. Polyesterimide/polyamide composite enameled wire, thermal class 180. This product has good thermal shock resistance. It has high softening resistance and breakdown temperature, excellent mechanical strength, and good solvent and refrigerant resistance. The weakness is that it is easily hydrolyzed under closed conditions. It is widely used in windings of motors, electrical appliances, instruments, power tools, dry-type power transformers, etc. that require high heat resistance.
5. Polyesterimide/polyamideimide composite enameled wire is a widely used heat-resistant enameled wire with a thermal class of 200. This product has high heat resistance, refrigerant resistance, severe cold resistance, radiation resistance and other properties. It has high mechanical strength, stable electrical performance, good chemical resistance and refrigerant resistance, and strong overload capacity. Widely used in refrigerator compressors, air conditioning compressors, power tools, explosion-proof motors and motors and electrical appliances used under high temperature, high cold, radiation resistance, overload and other conditions.
According to the purpose of enameled winding wire
General-purpose enameled winding wire (ordinary enameled wire): mainly used for winding wires in general motors, electrical appliances, instruments, transformers and other workplaces, such as polyester enameled wire and modified polyester enameled wire.
Heat-resistant enameled wire: mainly used for winding wires in motors, electrical appliances, instruments, transformers and other workplaces operating at temperatures of 180°C and above, such as polyester imide enameled wire, polyimide enameled wire, polyester enameled wire, polyester imide /Polyamide-imide composite enameled wire.
Special-purpose enameled wire: refers to winding wire with certain quality characteristics and used for specific occasions, such as: polyurethane enameled wire (direct weldability), self-adhesive enameled wire.
According to conductor material: copper wire, aluminum wire, alloy wire.
According to material shape: round wire, flat wire, hollow wire.
According to insulation thickness: Round wire: G1;G2;G3; Flat wire: Single;Heavy.
